Prayer for The G.M "Speedy" Cockerell family

Dear Friends,

Please add the G.M. "Speedy" Cockerell family to your prayer list.  Speedy was a true horseman, a legend in his own time, a dying breed.  He left this world  and has gone on to greener pastures to that Rodeo in the sky where he will ride horses for eternity with our heavenly Father. He passed away Sunday night, July 20, 2008 in Dublin, TX.  at the age of 86.  He leaves behind his son, Buster, two daughters, Debbie and Mickie and several grandchildren.
Speedy was one of the first to step up on and show a horse legend by the name of "Doc Sug".  Speedy won the APHA cutting five consecutive years on a mare named "Pets Que Ton Eagle".  Because of his wealth of knowledge he was fundamental in forming the NCHA and ACHA.  He had 8 NCHA finalists and semi-finalists. He had 10 AQHA champions and 4 AQHA Honor Roll Horses.

His accomplishments are too many to list but will remain wonderful memories for his family and those who had the great privilege of having met him.  I am so blessed to be able to count myself among those who knew him personally.
