I'm a 16 year old girl and I really want to get into barrel racing. I have a happy - go - lucky quarter horse whose been doing alright in the beginner classes, but because I ride english and jump more competitively then barrel racing I don't know how to start training him to be really competitive. If you could give me a few tips I 'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Erica

Erica,
If you don't have our book, "Barrel Racing - Training the Wright Way", I would like to suggest that you get it. It has some great training techniques and suggestions for starting and training a barrel horse.
