My vet was supposed to come out last week but had an emergency to tend to. I am going to have her fully x-rayed and chiropracted and already had her teeth done by a dentist. I think she may have some arthritis somewhere so I have started her on CortaFlex.

She is really happy being turned out 12-14 hours/day in a huge pasture. The previous owner kept her stalled all the time. She hasn't reared up on me in several days so I think her attitude is already improving. Have you actually seen horses like her get turned around and go back to going into the arena quietly once their pain is gone?

I forgot to mention that she has never had a baby and is 13 now. Could that have anything to do with it assuming she vet checks OK? She is constantly trying to butt-up to the geldings and I have to separate her from them.

Is she staying in heat all the time - that could be a large problem if that's what is going on. Be sure and get her palpated by the vet when he comes.
