HELP!  I'm not getting rid of the horse, but he is higher in the hind quarters then the withers.  I need a new saddle, and have tried a few, but they tend to pitch me forward.  I have an old Billy Cook that sits me and the horse just fine but it is an all around, not a barrel saddle.  I also have a Bobby Stivers, made by Frontier Saddlery, that is a 1994, in great condition, but makes my horse sore in the shoulders.  I need a full QH bars, but would like any advice as to saddle make or pads (would rather not have to build up pads) that I can get.  I have just tried an Ammerman, and it really put my feet behind me and my upper body forward.

If you live in Texas or are coming anytime soon, you would be more than
welcome to come by and try some of our saddles for fit on your horse.  Our
tree comes in a couple of different gullet widths to accommodate wide
shouldered or high withered horses.  I use a 100% wool felt pad that is 1"
thick on all my horses.
