Please put Jordyn Nethken on your prayer list.  She was injured at the Josey Jr. World - in the outside arena.  The bit broke & her horse ran and fell & she hit her head.  She is in Shreveport in the hospital in serious condition.  She is in my LA 04 District and is 14 years old.  She needs everyones prayers to pull out of this serious injury.  Love your site!
Thanks,
Scooter LeBouef

Father God I come before you this morning and ask for good reports and complete healing for Jordyn. Lord I pray that your spirit be present and you give this family comfort in knowing that you are in control. Thank you for this beautiful day and hearing our prayers. We know that you are always with us.

I got this email from the president of Southeast Louisiana High School Rodeo Association about Jordyn...

"Good Morning!

I received some AWESOME news this morning and wanted to share with all of you.  It looks as if our Jordyn is on her way back to a speedy recovery.  She was able to talk on the phone last night with the Deville family.  The doctors are astonished with the remarkable progress she is making.  I am so happy to be able to share this with you today.  PLEASE keep the prayers going for the Nethken family.  I will keep you posted as I receive updates."

GOD BLESS THE NETHKENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynda Austin

Jordyn is 2nd in barrel racing in the Wrangler Division of Louisiana High School standings. I've watched her ride, and she is awesome.  We attend the jr. high rodeos for my son to ride bulls, but I always make sure I watch Jordyn and a few other girls from our club (SLHSRA.) The finals are May 19-21 in West Monroe, La.   We are all praying for her, and her family, and they will be especially in our minds that weekend.

Got this email about Jordyn this morning.. 8) 8) :()& :()&
Another great day for Jordyn.  Melanie and Steven took her outside in the wheelchair to enjoy the beautiful weather.  Martha Josey came to visit her for about an hour and a half.  Mr. R.E. stayed home because they had a horse colic last night and neither of them got very much sleep.  Martha told her that Troxel will be sending her a free helmet in a couple of months.  She will be the first person to wear this new style western hat helmet.  How cool is that??  She’s got the most positive attitude of any young person that I’ve ever met.  She told Melanie that she was disappointed about missing out on Nationals and having to skip the All American Youth this summer but that she would just concentrate on her first year of high school rodeo.  Jordyn will have to go back in six weeks to have the bone replaced.  Melanie says that if Jordyn is up to it Steven may bring her to West Monroe on Saturday.
