Barrel race Saturday 18th at Diamond T -Denton, Texas
« on: May 17, 2013, 08:43:55 AM »
For all the barrel racers that still wanted to run this Saturday, May 18th BRAT has decided at the last minute to host a NON-POINT race this Saturday at Diamond T Arena located at 6900 E Sherman Drive in Denton. It will be ran using the same BRAT format that we usually use.  Books open at 9:00; exhibitions at 10:00; 15 & Under Youth at 2:00 followed by the Open.  Youth entry fee is $20; Open entry fee is $25.00.  There is a one-time arena fee of $5.00.

This race couldn’t be made possible without the help of Red Hot Running Horses R$H, Rocket Shop Saddlery and Razer Horse Shoes.  Thank you!!!  3-2-1 Action videos will be there videoing our runs as well!  3-2-1 video is offering $5.00 off if you mention you saw this on this e-mail or on Facebook!
We all wanted to help out the people affected by the recent storms.  A lot of BRAT members are from the heart of these areas.  We will have a table set up for supplies and monetary donations to aid in the relief effort of the cities affected.

Hope to see everybody Saturday at Diamond T!!

BRAT's RACE SCHEDULED FOR MAY 18TH HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to heavy rain and catastrophic events in Cleburne.  A make-up date will be posted as soon as we get confirmation.  So….BRAT’s first point show will be Saturday, June 8th at Diamond W Arena.
Note to everybody that pre-entered: Your entry will be rolled over to our next point show which is June 8th at Diamond W Arena unless we are notified.

There is now $500 added to the Open 5D!!!

Latest thanks to SandBrock Ranch Hay Exchange in Aubrey who always carries awesome alfalfa and coastal hay, Janice Winemiller and Shawna Braswell, Redhotrunninghorses, Razor and Rocket Shop Saddlery - without you guys this race wouldn't be possible!

The mayor of Cleburne is asking for monetary donations, canned and staple food items. Hood and Johnson Couty Animal Control is asking for small pet carriers, pet food and kitty litter. Already have some monetary donations for them! Barrel racers are great bunch!

Her horse took alley to soon and hit her leg really bad.  Hope its not broke.  She wouldn't let me call ambulance, but she was in lots of pain.

Holly did up going to the ER and Thank goodness nothing is broken but she is hobbling around on crutches.  She said it hurt like a son of gun!!!!  She does have to call an orthopedic in two days. Here's to hoping she feels better soon!  She has to go to Hamilton this weekend!

Thanks for update.  I was really worried.  I know she was in pain!  I was surprised she made such a good run after hitting the alley coming in.  My first time at this arena and it is an accident waiting to happen.  Sorry but that place is dangerous.

Oh no, hope no blood clots or anything!
Aut viam inveniam aut faciam - I will either find a way or make one.  "Can't lives on Won't street."

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

This is Holly.  I am doing fine, nothing is broken just very tender.  Doctor said he didn't know how it didn't break, guess cause I'm so mean....LOL.  I want to thank everyone that helped me, ya'll were awesome!!  Barrelracers are the best family to have.  See ya'll at Hamilton.
