When did you start barrel racing? When I was 3yrs. old

Are you involved in any other equine events? I love to rope, calf roping or team roping.

Who or What got you started barrel racing? My folks put me on a horse when I was 14 mths old, the rest is history.

On the road sometimes things happen do you have an usual or funny story? I was at the High School National Finals and my pants split going around the second barrel.

What was the name of your favorite horse and tell us a little about it. Bo is my favorite horse, because I believe God gave him to me. I prayed for one special horse in my lifetime and that is Bo.

What are some of the events that you have won (or races that stand out in your mind)? The National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. That has been a goal of mine for years.

Over the years have you noticed any changes in barrel racing what are the good or bad you’ve seen? The changes that I notice the most are the ground conditions and the added money for the barrel racers.

What is do you think of an equal pay out 4d? I don’t believe in equal payout in the 4D, that was not the purpose when it was started. But, it has done wonders for the horse industry, letting everyone get a check in their perspective divisions.

Do you think of yourself as a professional barrel racer? When you join WPRA you are considered a professional.

If you were not professional barrel racer what do you do for a living? I would probably train horses.

Who is your favorite barrel racer or barrel racers? My favorite barrel racers are the late Celie Ray and Sherry Cervi.

Do you have any advice for anyone just starting out in barrel racing? My advice is, go for your dreams, you won’t know until you try.

Do you think barrel racing should be limited to women only? Barrel racing should not be limited to women only, there are some tough men barrel racers out there…
