required for all ANHA competitions.

4D BARREL SHOOTOUT
FORMAT |
Each entry/contestant will be entitled to
participate in each of the two qualifying rounds scheduled for Friday
3pm and Saturday 3pm. The two qualifying rounds will be 4D format: 1/2,
1/2, 1 second splits. Fifteen (15) different entries from each of the four
(4) divisions of the two (2) qualifying rounds will qualify for the
ShootOut round on Sunday. If contestant qualifies in both qualifying
rounds, contestants will be added in the order in which they placed in the
qualifying rounds. A contestant can qualify on unlimited horses for the
ShootOut round.
Each horse may qualify for only one ShootOut position. If a horse
qualifies for the ShootOut round in different
divisions in the two (2) qualifying rounds, they will come back in the
faster division. You can enter the Friday
Race for $65 entry fee or the Saturday Race for $65 entry fee, but your
run will NOT be included for the
ShootOut round unless you pay the full $130 entry fee PRIOR to your run.
IT IS YOUR PREROGATIVE TO MAKE ONE RUN. No Exceptions!. You cannot pay $65
and make what turns out to be a qualifying ShootOut run and then come back
and try to pay the full $130 fee. If you pay the $65 fee, you will only be
included in the payout in the one go round that you entered. Each
contestant is responsible for acquiring ShootOut qualification status for
the Sunday run. ANHA is not liable to inform you of ShootOut
qualification. ShootOut positions will be posted
on the wall and cell phone numbers listed to call in. IF A QUALIFIED
CONTESTANT CHOOSES NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SHOOTOUT ROUND, NO CONTESTANT
WILL BE MOVED UP TO FILL THAT POSITION. |

SHOOTOUT ROUND |
The ShootOut rounds will be run as four (4) separate barrel races, and
three (3) separate pole bending races, one for each division. It will not
be a 3D or 4D format. The ShootOut round will be a straight race with the
fastest times winning money. Each of the four (4) barrel ShootOut rounds
will consist of the thirty (30) contestants who qualified in the two (2)
qualifying rounds. Each of the three (3) pole ShootOut rounds will consist
of the thirty (30) contestants who qualified in the two (2) qualifying
rounds. |
PAYOUT |
The total purse will be 77% of the $130 entry fee plus 100% of the
added money. 33.3% will be paid out in each of the qualifying rounds with
places being paid depending
on the total number of contestants. 33.3% will be paid in the ShootOut
rounds. The money is split equally among the four (4) barrel divisions and
the three (3) pole divisions.
For every 100 contestants, there will be five (5) places paid in each
qualifying round in each division not to exceed 10 places paid in the
qualifying rounds. (Example; 300 barrel
racers, 10 places will be paid in each qualifying round in each division
and 5 places paid i the ShootOut round.) |
CASH ONLY AT EVENT |
Stall/RV rentals and entry fees must be PAID IN CASH at the event.
There are no exceptions!!! |
ALL AROUND AWARD |
A Coats Barrel Saddle will be awarded to the same
rider/horse combination with the fastest qualifying times
(barrels and poles) and ShootOut times (barrels and
poles) combined. You must pay a $5.00 nomination fee with your entry for
All Around status to be counted.
