America’s Horse, February 11, 2008 – The American Quarter Horse Association through its Marketing and Media Awards recognizes outstanding journalistic efforts to promote the American Quarter Horse throughout the world. The 2006 Marketing and Media Awards entries have been judged, and the winners are being announced. The entries are for articles, photographs and other works published from January 1 to December 31, 2006.

Formerly called the Sprint and Steel Dust awards, the contest was designed to recognize outstanding coverage and promotion of horses, people and events within the American Quarter Horse industry through television, newspaper, radio, photographs and AQHA affiliates.

The contest winners will be recognized in March during the 2008 AQHA Convention in San Francisco. Category winners receive a specially designed Lisa Perry Bronze featuring a Steel Dust-type American Quarter Horse.
