AQHA’S NEW RACING WEB SITE IS FASTER, BETTER THAN EVER

Amarillo, Texas, January 17, 2006 – The American Quarter Horse Association’s new racing Web site goes live WEDNESDAY at 1:30 p.m. CST. With great improvements, added functionality and up-to-date information, AQHA’s racing Web site is better than ever. New features include real-time race results, expanded leaders lists, improved site navigation, enhanced race coverage and new owner information.

“Meeting the needs of our racing customers and enthusiasts is very important to our staff, and the Web site will enhance the customer service they receive,” said AQHA Senior Director of Racing, Trey Buck. “We hope the added features provide easy access to the latest news in American Quarter Horse racing.”

Race results are delivered as quickly as 45 minutes after a race has completed, updating statistics, schedules and highlights. These statistics flow to the leaders board where a variety of categories can be searched such as divisional leaders, sires of winners and regional high-point winners.

The improved site navigation allows information to be viewed faster and easier. An updated home page includes the latest news, highlights and upcoming events, while enhanced race coverage provides pre-race and recap details. Also featured is a television schedule of upcoming coverage on TVG Network and ESPN.

Another added improvement is the “Getting Started” category. From frequently asked questions and learning the basics of betting, to ownership of an AQHA race horse, information on how to get started is available at your fingertips.
