COWGIRLS SELLING TRINKETS AND TREASURES DURING THEIR “GRAB IT AND GET IT” GARAGE SALE

FORT WORTH, Texas – Bargain hunters, markdown mavens and garage sale gurus, mark your calendars for the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame’s “Grab It and Get It” Garage Sale, Sept. 28 – 30, 2006. Browse through clothes, jewelry, books and more during three days of discount delight at 2228 N. Main St. in Fort Worth’s Northside neighborhood.

Get a head start on the crowds during the sneak peak sale on Sept. 28 – only $5 gets you in the door. Admission is free on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30. Garage Sale hours are:

Sept. 28 noon to 7 p.m.

Sept. 29 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sept. 30 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If donating to the “Grab It and Get It” Garage Sale suites your style, then clean out your closet, attic, drawers and barn and bring your items to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, located at 1720 Gendy St. in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. Donations are accepted Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All donations are tax deductible.

In 2000 the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame organized the first garage sale to raise money for its new building, which opened in 2002. Since then, proceeds from the “Grab It and Get It” Garage Sale benefit the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and its programs. The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and documents the lives of women who have distinguished themselves while exemplifying the pioneer spirit of the American West. Located at 1720 Gendy Street in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, the museum includes interactive exhibit galleries, three theaters, a retail store and a grand rotunda housing the Hall of Fame.
