Amarillo, Texas, October 26, 2006 – One lucky person will win a year’s supply of Wrangler jeans on Thursday, November 16, at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show in Oklahoma City.

Spectators each will have the opportunity to guess the number of Wrangler Jeans piled in the bed of a Ford truck.  The person with the closest guess without going over will receive a new pair of Wrangler jeans each month for the next year.  That person also will become a finalist for the AQHA special edition Ford truck giveaway to be held during evening finals performances on Friday, November 17.

The first 1,000 people in the doors at the State Fair Park on Thursday wearing a Wrangler product will receive a gift courtesy of Wrangler.

Spectators also will have the opportunity to see the crowning of the 2006 Team Wrangler champions and meet the 2007 Team Wrangler members during the popular T-shirt toss.

Wrangler night also brings exciting competition to the arena with finals performances in junior reining and senior working cow horse. Last year’s junior reining finals featured 2005 National Reining Horse Association Derby winner Smart Spook, ridden by 2005 NRHA Futurity Champion Shawn Flarida and owned by Rosanne Sternberg, who was crowned world champion after a spectacular 226.5 score. This year’s competition is sure to keep you on the edge of your seats!

Highlights from the show are just a click away. The American Quarter Horse Journal provides complete Web coverage and a live Web cast of arena action as it happens.

Highlights from the 2006 World Show also will be featured on “America’s Horse,” AQHA’s weekly television show on TVG Network, November 19 and 26, and December 3, 10, 17 and 31. Visit aqha.com for a detailed schedule.
