Our trip to Fredericksburg....
« on: August 01, 2011, 11:21:19 AM »
I love this lil town. If I had to live any where else in Texas this is where I'd wanna be.

Downtown

I betcha this fella had anything and everything you'd ever want or need in/on the back of his truck LOL

Then we stopped at a place that salvages old log cabins....rebuilds them or uses old timber to build houses for you. Ohhhhh how I could take these buildings home.....I could so live in this lil cabin.

This would be my smoke house.

Mr. Lilly's "honey do list" is gettin longer....

I love the porch light...

Lil neighboring cabin..

Ok...I'd hafta draw the line somewhere...I do require indoor plumbing (most of the time ;)

The lil fence around the whole place...

Yes Wars....Admiral Nimitz. I haven't gotten to go thru the Museum there. I'm told that to really appreciate it...you need all day to look and see what's there. Plus they have all kind of stuff back behind the main building. It is on the list of things to see.....we just gotta find a weekend that there's not 10 other things goin on at the same time.

We just got back. We were there yesterday and today. We went to the George Bush Gallery yesterday for three hours. Then we went to the Pacific Combat Zone this morning. We've been to the Nimitz Museum two or three times but this was the first time to the George Bush. The Combat Zone was totally different than the last time we went. It's a very interesting place. It stops and makes you think about what World War II meant to us. There was a WWII veteran at the Combat Zone with us today. I lost an uncle I never knew in the Phillipines and my dad served in the Navy in WWII so it definitely hits home there.
On another note, I bought a t-shirt I've been wanting for a long time. It says "PETA-people eating tasty animals". LOL
