Re:  HB 3
HB 3 may face a more difficult time in the House than did CSHB 2.  The revamp
of the property tax will cause a shift in who pays how much.  It is reported
that, as it is currently written in HB 3, only "households making more than
$100,000 will see a net reduction in their tax burden, while the greatest
increases will fall on households making less than $22,833 per year".  Other
facts related to HB 3:
-More than 50% of the revenue will come from the expanded and increased sales
tax rate.
-Businesses overall will pay .7% less in taxes while individuals will pay
1.32% more.
-A 7.25% sales tax will be the highest in the nation.

THIS, as it's written here makes ABSOLUTELY no sense to me and only goes to show that the buearucrats (sp?) in austin and washington are only truly self serving!!! WHY THE HECK!! would you tax a lower income household MORE than a higher income household if your TRUE incentive is to generate governmental revenue?!!?!!!! common sense tells you more income more tax money!!! not to mention that the cross-section of households making less than $22,000 per year are only SLIGHTLY above, hovering at, or below poverty level depending on the household size! that's less than $2000/mo GROSS income! how many households do you know that NET that much a month?!!!?? i'd say write your senator and representatives and tell them if they're going to TAX somebody, TAX THE ONES THAT CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!
CRAP!!! they have tax shelters and ways of hiding their income to START WITH!
