I was through there yesterday, from Hedley on 287 you could see the flames from the McLean fire 10 miles away.  At Alanreed, cattle with there hide burned off just standing with their eyelids melted together.   Horses lying dead smoldering.  HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE TO SEE!  They said they could lose up to 10,000 head of cattle.   Hundreds of ranchers could lose everything.   Thousands of acres with no fences and no electric or telephone poles left standing.  Many more people are going to be needing benefits.   I dont understand why the government isn't sending in more military help with helicopters and fire fighters.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

Any producers around here willing to put on a benefit jackpot?  That way all monies could be sent to the Farm/Ranch aid they already have set up in the area.  Monies could be spread around to all the folks who need it that way. I am offering my services to anybody who is willing to put it on.
