Mine looks poopy. Digger takes crappy photos all the time. He's high headed through his turn and he rolls back more than "turns" and he pops his head up as he does so. Our second was our crummiest barrel. He pivoted so hard that he REALLY stalled in his turn (not to mention he was REALLY lacking momentum going into the turn). He (and everything else I own) is out of shape so I really got better than I expected from him. I recently figured out that he comes around his pivot quicker if I pull "out" instead of "lift" like I do on EVERYTHING else so that's why my hand is way out in no-mans-land. LOL!!

His picture also looks like both front feet were chopped smooth off below the fetlock. Bummer!

CGC, I have room in the trailer for you, if Deedoe says she does not.

Those are all good pics
You can go and worry about the competition, and worry whether your horse will work, or whether you've selected the right bridle.  But if you've done your homework, you should be able to go out and just enjoy your ride.---The late cutting horse trainer Greg Ward of Tulare, California.

Stacy - I like your 2nd picture....

Here is Karen Little's picture..

Her video is up on the other forum. I LOVE watching it. OMG! She's such a hand (she's had a LOT of nice horses over the years).

Definitely says a lot about the importance of universal horses. She also ropes on that mare some (but she said she's too quick) and everyone knows Cervi ropes some on her horses. They kicked some major booty this weekend.
Too bad my silly horse is scared of EVERYTHING. I've turned back on him before when we went to the cutting practice pen, but he wasn't too excited about the buffalo our friends use to practice. Pal LOVES cutting. I'm afraid to rope. I'll lose a finger or toe or tooth or something.

I will have room and you are welcome to use it  ...but I will have my little dog with me and she is not so friendly with other pooches... I think that is why they call them b***hes...   :cheeze:

i rope on all my horses!  It seems to help them mentally and physically... My horses are alot quieter and dont get hot in the alley.  Plus its a great break for me too!  I always say im a die hard barrel racer and a part time team roper lol

I tried roping in high school, but quickly gave up.

We go to the cutting pen on occasion (one of my horses is a finished cutter and most of the others are bred to do it as well). At least in there, I'm less likely to LOSE any important body parts. LOL!!!
We've got a roping pen here at the house and hubby & our landlord frequently discuss getting steers since the LL used to rope & is training a young horse and hubby wants to start roping (at least - that's his desire this week....it changes often). I'd rather just go work cows...I like my fingers, thumbs & toes.
