IBRA Welcomes New York and Illinois

We are proud to announce, that IBRA’s 5th season is off and running. With members in 27 states and Canada, 2005 should prove to be a rewarding year.

IBRA has scheduled shows in 19 states so far this year. We would like to welcome recently added, New York and Illinois, and wish them a successful year. For those states that are not involved with our organization, we offer the Open Range Division. This allows IBRA members to compete in any IBRA show, regardless of location to accumulate points.

The 2005 International Barrel Racing Association National Finals will be held in Murfreesboro, TN October 3-8, 2005. Added money at this years’ finals will exceed $50,000. Open, Youth, Sponsor’s and Director’s race and Master’s classes will be offered. The "Masters" class, formerly known as "Seniors," is a class for those that are 40-years old and over. A "Battle of the States" will be held, with $1000 in Bonus Money to be given to the winning states’s award program. We will also have a church service, as well as great gospel music.

An additional $7000 in Bonus Prize Money will be up for grabs for 2005 IBRA/EBFA members. Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend the Finals, and you may sign up for membership at any time. However, you must be a member and pre-entered to qualify for the final’s short-go rounds and awards.

The top 20 in each State, Open Range and EBFA 4D standings, in each division, will be considered State Qualifiers. The top 5 in each division are considered "Top Dogs." With the Top Dog designation, you will be guaranteed a run in the short-go, whether or not you place in the preliminary go-rounds. The same rule will apply to the Youth race, with the top 10 in each division being State Qualifiers, and the Top 2 in each division being Top Dogs. You must be pre-entered to be considered a Top Dog or State Qualifier.

Our association takes great pride in running a well organized, barrel racer friendly organization. Each IBRA show, including our National Finals, serves as a fund raiser for various charities throughout the United States. Some of those charities include Children Who Witness Violence, Lighthouse, Inc. and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.

If you would like to become involved in IBRA, please visit our new website  www.ibra.us  <http://www.ibra.us/>. Submit your email address to our mailing list and stay informed on up to date IBRA news. Also, we are seeking directors for many of our member states. If you would be interested in providing your services, please contact Karen at (330)483-9608.
