Extreme Barrel Races
« on: March 09, 2006, 04:43:37 PM »
Just thought I'd share this information about these barrel races just in case no one else saw the ad....it was pretty hidden in the back of the February edition of the Barrel Horse News.  These things pay out like a slot machine. I think to win the 1D pays $7,200 or something like that.  It like $125 to enter.  Their first one is in Hamilton on the weekend of the 25th of March.  I just thought it was a pretty sweet deal and wanted to let everyone know about it....

Anybody know what the Hamilton, TX arena is like?

God is AWESOME!! :)

IF 1400 enter !!!! :-\\\\\\\\      :o

No Added Money  1400x125= 175000.00x .70%= payout of 122,500.00.

It will be hard to get 1400 on that weekend anywhere.  Still going to go to Brenham..

Hi Ladies,
We would like to extend our invitation to come and join us in Hamilton for our premier event.  I know there are a lot of questions and the buzz going on about us.  We are Extreme Productions (with an "E").  We did the Extreme Calf Roping last year with over 690 members and paying out over $520,000.00 for the year end totals.  If you need referrals you can check our website at www.extremecalfroping.com or some of the members of the USCRA.  Our events are very professionally run and the jackpot payback is excellent.  Our sponsors Resistol-Lucchese and C&C Trailers (coming on board for this year barrel racing) suggested we venture into the barrel racing where the racers get a larger payback at an open race (w/o membership)with the more contestants entered.  Our ad does designate the payout with 1400 runs, with 500 entries the 1D will still be taking around $4000 home paying 5 deep in each D.  If you will look at he spreadsheet and compare us to some others, you will see we are planning to pay larger back to you the racers.  Please contact us for any questions you have and our website is now up and running.  We will extend our deadline to the 20th instead of the 15th, because of the tardiness of our website.  Love to see you all in Hamilton!!!

5 places for each d ain't much .... I won't spend that much for an entry fee with only 5 places being paid.

Oh well, I just do the barrels and graphics and do not have to pay an entry fee for them.  I do hate that the horses keep knocking the barrels over when the barrels are just standing still.  Oh, I am not doing the barrels for this race as no one has contacted us.  Sorry got confused.  Huggs :-*

500 entries and only paying 5 places...that is not very many being paid for that amount of entries and the amount the entry is costing.

We are trying to keep the money at the high payback level, so the 5 deep with only 500 racers will help accompolish this.  if we pay 10 deep the jackpots will be a smaller payout.  we would like to fill it with 1400 racers so the 10 deep can be paid out.

Nope, can't handle $125 for only 5 getting money in each D.

Hamilton is a great pen and an awesome facility.  CTBRA is running on it March 17 and 18th.
Yesterday is history.
   Tomorrow a mystery.
