The Alders family needs our help
« on: March 15, 2006, 10:44:18 PM »
Hi Folks,

The Alders family lost everything they had in the Panhandle fire this past weekend – the only thing they were able to save was Kelsey’s horse and the clothes they had on their backs along with a truck and trailer.  They had just gotten their home paid off and had NO insurance.  Kelsey is one of Ed’s clinic students.  If you can help in any way – donations of clothes, tack, feed, money, household items – please help this family or any of the many others that lost everything.
Thanks,
Martha Wright
This came to me while chopping wood the other day. You've heard don't sweat the small stuff. I say save it for later and use it for kindling

This was in my Email this morning...

I talked with Ramona last night and she is asking that no more clothes be sent. They truly appreciate everyone that has sent them clothes but now they are at the point where it is to overwhelming, her mother's living room and dining room are completely full!! Those that are already in the mail I will let them go through when they arrive and then Ramona said whatever doesn't work for them she will get with Red Cross and ask them to disperse throughout the other community's that need help. They do not want anyone to feel that they are being unappreciative, it's just that this wonderful barrel & rodeo community came to their aid so quickly, it has truly been a blessing to them. They also wanted me to ask that if you are sending items or money that you jot down an address for them. I am planning on renting a storage building for them as one of the Cowboy Churches has had donations of household items for when they do either re-build or rent a house. Again THANK YOU to EVERYONE that has helped this family. I have said it a hundred times this week, it is so comforting to know that we are involved with such a wonderful group of barrel racers! God Bless You All!!

There is a benefit barrel race scheduled for them next weekend.  I've got a flyer on it..

Aut viam inveniam aut faciam - I will either find a way or make one.  "Can't lives on Won't street."

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

Kathie
I think I remember reading somewhere that they were drowning in clothes and to please not send anymore clothes.  The BR community overwhelmed them.   >PEACE<

Oh and here is the link to the flyer
