TX19 had 160+ entries at our last barrel race. Yahoo!!
Team 19 is having several fund raisers for the youth/teen members to go to Jackson, MS for the Youth World.
We have 23 members (top 5 in each D, plus ties) that have qualified to enter the barrel race. The cost for entry fees only for the Teen is $307.00 and the Youth is $292.00 (see website for info. on show, (
http://www.nbha.com/shows/national/2006_shows/youth/youth06.pdf) for one horse. This amount is for entries only and does not include the high price of fuel, eats, feed, lodging etc. that they will need to have money for.
1. We have members collecting aluminum cans (at home & at work), taking them in and sending us a check. If you do not have a place to sell them, bring them to the barrel races and we will get them taken in.
2. Pam Little is donating a % of Avon sales to the fund raiser. See the website at

4. Mary Simpson is donating a % of Home Interiors candle sales to the fund raiser. Contact Mary at
[email protected] for more information on Home Interiors.
5. Lazy W Stable in Azle has donated their arena for the Youth To World Fund Raiser barrel race. We will also have a silent auction and concession at the barrel race all to profit the youth.
6. At the last barrel race a member has offered to donate all the meat (our choice at each race) we need for our concession stand. I will get her # or email as soon as I can to post here. We can all tell her thank you.
7. If you know of any other fund raisers we can have, please let us know. The amount we would like to raise is approx. $7,000.00 in entries only. We want to support our youth!!
8. If you have a company etc you know that would like to be involved with the youth, please let us know. We will list them in our Newsletter to thank them.
