America’s Horse, February 11, 2008 – An official publication of the largest equine breed registry in the world, The American Quarter Horse Journal has been the voice of the American Quarter Horse industry for 60 years. Serving owners, breeders, trainers and horse lovers of the most popular breed today, the Journal has continually set the bar for quality equine publications since its founding in 1948.

Continuing its dedication to being the best in the industry, the Journal will take on a new face this summer. Beginning with the June issue, the Journal will feature a new layout featuring color-coded sections for your favorite American Quarter Horse disciplines:

Halter
Reining, Cutting and Cow Horse
Speed (barrels, poles, team penning, ranch sorting), Rodeo and Ropes
Rail and Pattern
Ranching
The Journal will be easier to navigate than ever before. Each section will include a discipline-specific buyer’s guide showcasing stallions and horses for sale. The Journal also will be offering improved rates for advertisers, increasing the cost effectiveness of advertising in the industry publication that has the most economical cost per thousand than any other equine magazine. The Journal is widely considered the resource for those involved in various aspects of the American Quarter Horse industry and it is the publication read by more judges and professionals than any other.

With these improvements, the Journal will remain committed to quality content, featuring the same outstanding coverage of the greatest events, legendary horses and people, and tips on riding, training, management and health care that readers have come to expect.

“We are excited about these improvements,” said AQHA Executive Director of Publications Jim Jennings. “These changes come after extensive research and focus group comments where readers and advertisers gave us input on ways to improve the Journal to fit their needs.”

Current subscribers will not want to miss this cornerstone of a new era for the industry’s leading magazine. For those who have not yet subscribed, or whose subscription has expired, there is no better time to sign up for the new Journal. Visit www.aqhajournal.com or call (800) 291-7323.
