Amarillo, Texas, October 4, 2005AQHA is honored to be part of the 61st National Charro Championships September 29-October 16 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Charro Championships, similar in stature to the annual AQHA World Championship Show, is Mexico’s largest equine championship event, drawing spectators and competitors from across Mexico and the United States. It will be held at the Centro De Espectaculos Vicente De Fernandez Gomez.

As a supporter, AQHA will award an Exiss two-horse trailer to the AQHA Charro Superhorse. AQHA also will award championship Montana Silversmiths buckles to the high-point Cala and Colas exhibitors (winners must be AQHA members).

“AQHA is honored to be a part of this historic event,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. “The Charro Championships will feature Mexico’s most talented American Quarter Horses and exhibitors, and we are excited for the opportunity to showcase and award such incredible talent.”

In addition, AQHA will offer on-site services for AQHA members in Mexico to complete transfers, registrations, breeding reports and other business. Spanish-speaking AQHA representatives will be on-hand to help AQHA members in Mexico get their transactions done quickly and smoothly.
