FORT WORTH, Texas - The American Paint Horse Association, located in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking applications for multiple summer internships in their performance, publications and marketing/sales departments. College students with a passion for horses and an interest in the equine industry can grow their skills through hands-on, professional experience at the second-largest equine breed association in the world.

The performance department oversees the management of the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show held in July as well as a wide variety of programs that serve the different interests and ages of APHA members. The performance intern will assist staff and show management with various duties relating to these programs as well as have the opportunity to work with the marketing, media and Paint Horse Journal departments.

The publications intern will work in the editorial department, but also collaborate with the APHA marketing, graphics, media and performance staff. They will assist staff in the production of APHA’s three publications: the Paint Horse JournalChrome and Flash. Primary duties will include writing feature articles, monthly editorial columns, photography and producing daily news items for the web during the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show in early July.

The marketing/sales internship will work on a variety of tasks including creating press releases, assisting the sales team with sales efforts ranging from lead generation to collecting information, fulfillment of sponsorship-related tasks and various other projects. The intern will also work closely with the editorial and graphics departments to assist with marketing efforts for the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show.

These internships offer an excellent opportunity to gain real life experience and produce professional-quality work as a member of our team. For more information, contact Director of Human Resources, Judy Mitchell, at [email protected]. The deadline for applications is March 15.
