Wild horses residing in U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) holding facilities could get help from an influential friend if the agency accepts Madeleine Pickens’ offer to establish a lifetime sanctuary for the 30,000 unadoptable horses otherwise in danger of euthanasia. Pickens is a Thoroughbred horse breeder, and she is the wife of Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens.
