Money raised to study horse diseases

Fund created in memory of Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro

NEW YORK – Two projects focusing on the equine disease laminitis will be launched with funds raised by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association in memory of Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro.

The projects, costing slightly more than $100,000 in total, will be conducted by researchers at the University of Georgia and Louisiana State.
