Kentucky Strengthens Drug Testing of Horses

Kentucky officials implemented out-of-competition drug testing for racehorses ahead of this fall’s Breeders’ Cup. The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission unanimously approved the measure, hoping it will further deter instances of blood doping and the use of performance-enhancing drugs.
