Qualifying Points for the 2007 AQHA Bayer Select and Ford AQHYA World Championship Shows Approved

Amarillo, Texas, September 5, 2006 – The qualifying season for the 2007 American Quarter Horse Association Bayer Select and Ford AQHYA World Championship Shows are underway, and the recommendations for qualifying points have been approved.

AQHA’s in-house World Show committee uses a formula to determine the qualifying points. The committee then presents the recommendations to AQHA’s Executive Committee for approval.

This year’s Bayer Select World Show was held August 29 through September 3 at the Amarillo National Center in Amarillo, Texas. It had a projected economic impact of more than $2 million to the Amarillo economy and featured more than 600 American Quarter Horses. Entries exceeded 800 in amateur select competition.
