Vaccinations against EEE, West Nile virus are urged for Alabama horses

With about 30% of horse deaths reportedly linked to West Nile virus and nearly 90% associated with Eastern equine encephalitis, Alabama’s agriculture commissioner is advising horse owners to have their animals vaccinated against the two mosquito-borne diseases.
