Like birds of a feather, many northern equestrians stick together and flock south for the winter to beat the cold and snowy weather. The stress of travel, however, plus potential feed changes, particularly forages, can be a recipe for disaster for a horse’s wellness.

Also remember that water can vary in taste and odor, which can cause a horse to drink less.
