Building an Outdoor Arena

I am just now building an outdoor arena in Denver. Just got a bid from an excavation company for $100,000.00 to put in the soil, crushed granite and sand. Is there any place to get good specifications on proper ground work for an arena floor. The approximate size of this arena is 250′ x175′. Thank you any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I am not qualified to advise you on this subject but I believe if you will do a search for “arena ground preparation” you may find some good reading that will answer your question or at least head you in the right direction.
