What Supplement

Hi Martha & Ed
I recently put sand down in my stalls. What supplement can I give my horses that will prevent them from becoming impacted from the sand they inadvertently digest? I know at one of your clinics, Ed mentioned a supplement he uses (something he had to ship from out of state). Is there something a little more accessible that does the same job?
-Thanks, Heather H.

We use psyllium – the same stuff that is used in Metamucil. There are several horse products on the market that are made with it.
