Feeding Horses with Neuromuscular Disorders

If your veterinarian has diagnosed your horse with a neuromuscular disorder—that is, one affecting the nerves that control muscle function—your first thought probably isn’t about what he’s eating. You’re likely far more worried about his unsettling muscle atrophy, incoordination, twitching, trembling, and/or sweating. But researchers have discovered that diet might play an important role in either the onset or management of several of these conditions.
