“AQHA PRESENTS” LINEUP OF APRIL SHOWS ON RFD-TV SCHEDULE

Premier of Team Wrangler Trading Saddles

America’s Horse, March 31, 2008 – The American Quarter Horse Association is presenting an exciting lineup of shows this April with its new television partner RFD-TV. This month’s lineup includes competition from the inaugural Fort Dodge AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, a look back at some of today’s well-known sires during their show days and a tour of some outstanding ranches and their noteworthy ranch horse programs. Plus, Team Wrangler Presents Trading Saddles will debut featuring a swap between an English rider and speed event horseman.

Maintaining its position as the industry leader in equestrian television programming and continuing its historical commitment to producing educational, lifestyle and competition programs for horse enthusiasts, AQHA will begin its April television schedule with a presentation of the inaugural Fort Dodge AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships. Amateur competition will be featured on April 2 and open on April 9. This historic championship is a must-see event that promises to entertain horse-loving audiences of all ages.

On April 16, AQHA will look back at the show days of some of today’s well-known sires –Hollywood Dun It, Nu Cash and Miss N Cash. Viewers will enjoy classic footage of these athletes competing in Alliance Partner events.

Then on April 23, the “AQHA Team Wrangler Presents” series will launch featuring a Trading Saddles episode in which Team Wrangler members trade places with another team member of a different discipline and prepare to show. This entertaining swap will feature world champion speed event team member Lance Graves and world champion English event member Clay Farrell attempting to master each other’s disciplines.

The first part of a multi-show series exploring some of the most accomplished ranch horse programs will round out AQHA’s April programming. The AQHA Bayer Best Remuda Award has honored 16 outstanding ranches for their ranch horse programs, and viewers will receive a tour of some of these historic ranches.

All programs will air on the regular RFD-TV schedule – Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern and Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. To see the full programming schedule go to www.aqha.com/association/television/index.html.
