America ’s Horse, July 25, 2008 – The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum presents its first show and sale when “America’s Horse in Art…The Horse that settled the West” takes place August 14 through November 14. The exhibit will take up wall and floor space in the Scharbauer Gallery.

Most of the pieces were created specifically for this event and have never before been seen by the public. All art will be for sale on a first-come, first served basis. Sale prices will range from $1,000 to more than $25,000 and will offer something for casual enthusiasts to avid collectors of rare and unique western art.

“This will be a most special event,” said American Quarter Horse Foundation Executive Director Gary Carpenter. “The line-up of artists we have is impressive and many of them are known throughout the world. We welcome anyone who enjoys beautiful western art to browse. What makes this exhibit so special is visitors can purchase any piece they like.”

Thirty-percent of each item sold in the America’s Horse in Art show and sale benefits the American Quarter Horse Foundation; the artist will receive the other 70 percent. Pieces include various types of paintings, bronzes and sketches and can be purchased in person or online. To purchase online, please call (806) 376-5181 or e-mail artshow@aqha.com .
