New rules allow Alabama vets to offer 3-year rabies vaccinations

Under new state rules, veterinarians in Alabama can offer some pets a rabies vaccine that lasts three years instead of the once-a-year shot. Under another new state rule, vets are allowed to issue a rabies vaccination exemption for pets with certain medical conditions or if the shot is potentially fatal. AL.com (Alabama)
